Victory is Mine!!

The moment I've been waiting for all my life has finally come!

No, I'm not engaged.

No, I didn't get an honorary Ph.D.  Darn Universities don't know what they're missing.

And no, I didn't just sign the best record deal in history.

I'm a Large Mammal!! Whoohooo!! I'm so excited about this. I don't particularly enjoy being called "fatty," but this title will be just fine for my  wee little blog.

Only problem is now that I'll be switching hosts, I'm hoping I won't go back to being an Insignificant Microbe or anything....that would be more devastating than...than...having John Kerry for President. Well...maybe not... but close! Real close!

I am so excited about my new blog. I have the artwork and designer all lined up.

I still haven't heard from many of you as to whether or not I should keep my name. Speak now or forever hold your peace. Please speak now. :)

Emily,

I think you should keep it!

Why not keep it? Thanks for stopping by and commenting, my comments section was messed up for a while and I couldn't see that you'd left a comment. Stop by often!

Would a rose by any other name still smell as sweet? I think the Portia name is interesting but not that evocative (it may be that I just never kenned the reference). Did you have another name in particular in mind? Maybe something like "Emanescence" - a play off of your name and the word "evanescent" - a kind of sardonic blogging reference since the word means to dissipate like vapor.

Whatever name you go by I'll always recognize it as a friend.

Ah, and would a Mammal by any other name still smell? Congratulations from a newly-minted Marauding Marsupial.

Mr. Writer,

I love "Emanescence!" I'm going to have to think long and hard about that one. Hmmm... hey, scripture does say "we are a vapor."

I'll give you full writing credit if I go with that one. :) Great suggestion.

Oh, and as far as Portia. She is my favorite Shakespearean heroine. I've always wanted to be like her. But it's not a super cool blog title.

From the time you took your first steps in life, you purposed in your heart not to follow the crowd, seek after popularity, be part of any in-group, conform to fads, fit in, be a people-pleaser or any kind of wanna-be. And that is a huge part of what makes you the delightful and outstanding person you are today.

So, just because it’s not cool, keep the name.

Love, Mutti
