Shakespeare, the Vegetarian?

Stumbled upon this quote in Twelfth Night:

Methinks sometimes I have no more wit than a Christian or an ordinary man has: but I am a great eater of beef, and I believe that does harm to my wit.
~Sir Andrew Aguecheek, Act I, Scene 3, ln. 82-85.

There ya go.

Methinks Sir Andrew was confused, twas the cheese of the Whopper that did harm his wit.

Cheeseburgers are Scottish food, right? All those MacRestaraunts serve them.

Ol' Ben Franklin dabbled with vegetarianism for the sake of his wit (and his budget.)
