There is a God, and He is Good

Yes
Red Sox have won the World Series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Curse of the Bambino has been broken!! You know what that means?... Bush is going to win.

If you'll excuse me, I need to get back to screaming like a giddy teenager.

I think the Bambino just got a little lazy this year....

I'm a huge Sox fan, and I'm so hoping that this is a good omen for a victory for Kerry. :-D

See, I think I have a better case for Bush, because the Red Sox just get pummelled every year, and the media and libs do the same to Bush, but I think he's going to rise above the fray and win it by a landslide, just like my beloved Sox. Either way, the Sox winning is a huge encouragement to anyone who's ever fought long and hard for something. 86 years long in their case.

The media doesn't question Bush's decisions/policies nearly as much as it should. With Kerry, I'm liking the whole hometown thing going on.

I'll respond to some other comments later on this evening if I get a chance.

Kerry's a poser, trying to make it look like he's a hometown boy, off in his multi-million dollar mansion on Beacon Hill in MA sipping on martini's and hoping he can get elected and screw the US over in both foreign and domestic policy. It's impossible for Kerry to pass off that hometown thing, what with him milking
his sugar momma to death. The last time he felt what it was like to have no money, he up and married another billionaire and now uses the money that was once a Republicans for his liberal campaign. What a DISGRACE!! I would be upset if a Republican did the same with a democrat's money. If he grew up outside of the Kennedy's and away from Washington's most liberal elite, he may just have had a chance, but it's going to be a landslide for Bush.

Oh, and by the way, who is the media to question Bush's policies/decisions. They are there to report in objectivity, which they have been pitifully doing lately. Report the news, don't SLANT it!! No matter what the outcome of this election is, we're going to have a divided nation. The problem is that what we're constantly seeing, through the media and Hollywood, is a lot of lies and more lies to cover up the previous lies, and so on. So much hate and outrage, from the left, you don't see it coming from the right because we're busy putting out and boosting the economy and not skipping out on work to protest some stupid things.

So Bush, son of privilege, just as Kerry was... Bush, who, whether or not he purposely dodged the draft, didn't defend the country as John Kerry did... Bush, who has no idea what it's like for a middle-class family for America, because he's never been part of a middle-class family, just as Kerry has never been... Bush, who rolls up the sleeves of his buttoned shirt rather than wear a shirt and tie on the campaign trail, just as Kerry does... Bush is less of a poser than Kerry? Bush is more connected to the American people? Give me a break.

And implying that Kerry only married Theresa Heinz Kerry for her money is what's truly disgraceful. As if you can know that? As if I can know that? No, only John and Theresa can know that.

[Oh, and by the way, who is the media to question Bush's policies/decisions. They are there to report in objectivity, which they have been pitifully doing lately. Report the news, don't SLANT it!!]

Who is the media to question Bush's policies/decisions?? That's their job! Did you hear me say that they shouldn't be more aggressive in questioning Kerry's policies/decisions? No, because I don't think that. The media needs to be more aggressive in questioning the policies/decisions of all of our public servants! Bush, with the vast number of important things he's done in his presidency, obviously deserves more scrutiny than perhaps all others. He's the president. The media's job is to report thing objectively. But not just objectively; intelligently and insightfully, and, yes, aggressively, as well. Objectivity and intelligence and aggressiveness are not opposing values.

But beyond all else... I was stupid to even say anything about the Sox post. Anybody is making a bad decision if they link sports and politics. Curt Schilling dismayed me so much when he told people to vote for Bush on Good Morning America the day after the Sox won the Series. Believe me, I'd be just as dismayed if he told people to vote for Kerry. Why? Because it's stupid to ruin a good moment by simply saying "vote for ____" without giving any reasons for it. The Sox, and Red Sox Nation, were on top of the world. Why bring politics into the mix? All you're going to do is make people mad.

So, in truth, the Sox winning the Series means nothing in terms of the election. While I realize, Emily, you were just having a good time by saying it's a sign Bush will win the election (as I was just having a good time by saying that I think it's a sign that Kerry will win it), I think you (and I) were in the wrong by mixing up politics with a truly great sports moment.
