USC should have won the game v. Texas at last year's Rosebowl. And now we have proof. An article up on AP discusses the fallibility of the instant replay system in college football.
I'm just waiting for someone to blame Bush. (Not Reggie.)
You'll just have to read this article to get the full story.
Posted by Portia at November 10, 2006 10:13 AM | TrackBackThat's really nothing new. Plus, several calls this year have been looked at, and still the play stands. But I'll go back to the thing I always say whenever somebody says that one play that wasn't the last play of the game was wrong: well, they'd score on the next play.
A lot of people don't want to hear that, since their quarterback would never throw a 4th-quarter interception for a 100-yard touchdown. Nope, it was all the fault of that bad holding call in the 1st quarter. That holding call in the 1st quarter cost us the game!
Or so the saying goes.
Not busting your chops, really, I'm more of a guy who understands that replay, the refs, and college football are more like professional wrestling than pure amateur athletics.

Good teams overcome bad officiating to win games.
